Getting started

  1. Launch your site — from the launch page: site name, a short slug (it becomes your free subdomain), your niche, and a tagline. Your operator account is created in the same form.
  2. Pick your registration policy — Invite-only: members need a referral code you issue (highest trust, the JodiUSA model). Open: anyone can join (best for interest niches). You can change this later.
  3. Choose a tier — start free; upgrade from Billing whenever. Features unlock the moment you do.
  4. Share your link — your site is live immediately on your subdomain.

Building your site

  • Branding — your site name, tagline, and colors restyle every page, button, and gradient automatically.
  • Custom profile fields — the no-code builder lets you add fields that matter to your niche ("Favorite sport", "Faith tradition", "Festival you never miss"). They appear on member profiles instantly — 8 field types including selects and multi-selects.
  • Invite codes — invite-only sites issue single-use, time-limited codes (7-day default). Members ask their referrer; you approve.
  • Feature catalog — your site's /features/ page shows members what's live and shows you what the next tier unlocks.

Billing & subscriptions

  • Tiers — Starter (free) → Growth $49/mo → Pro $99/mo → Enterprise $199/mo. Yearly billing gives two months free.
  • Upgrades — one click from your Billing page; new features activate immediately, and your invoice history lives there too.
  • Payments — cards via Stripe. Your members' premium purchases (boosts, coins, gifts) are your revenue; platform fees per your plan.
  • Cancel — anytime; your site downgrades to Starter rather than disappearing.

Custom domains

  • Free subdomain — yourslug.jodibana.com works from launch.
  • An address from day one — every site is live at yourslug.jodibana.com the moment you create it. No domain purchase, no DNS, no waiting.
  • Your own domain when you're ready — point your apex A record at Jodibana and www as a CNAME; we handle TLS automatically. We keep linking your Jodibana address until DNS actually resolves to us, so nobody gets sent to an old site mid-migration. JodiUSA and SportsLovers are both hosted here.
  • No code changes — a domain is data on our side; your site keeps working while DNS propagates.

Trust & safety

  • Built-in — one-tap report and block, review queues, trust scores, and AI abuse detection on higher tiers.
  • Encrypted chat — member messages are encrypted at rest.
  • Your policies — you moderate your community; platform-level abuse is handled by us.

FAQ

  • Can I switch between invite-only and open? Yes — it's a per-site setting, not a rebuild.
  • Do my members see Jodibana? No — your brand everywhere; "Powered by Jodibana" appears only where you choose.
  • Is there a revenue-share option? Yes, for established communities — contact us.
  • Mobile apps? Every site ships as an installable PWA; native apps are on the roadmap.
